Every year, the post office has a day-long food drive for the hungry. It is
a bid deal to them. So, Saturday May 8th, leave food pantry donations by
your mailbox and your postal carrier will pick it up.

Summertime is extra tough for hungry families.

Help make a difference by participating in Stamp Out Hunger this weekend.

Each year, the Eastern Illinois Foodbank is the recipient of thousands of
pounds of food picked up directly from the homes of folks like you. Thanks
to our local letter carriers, the annual Stamp Out
Hunger<http://eifoodbank.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=02505231dc72d3a1868253970&id=579810f497&e=55ddd685d4>drive
provides nutritious, diverse, and high-quality food to help fill the
shelves of our agencies--and the hungry families they serve.

Please consider this a friendly reminder to consider leaving a bag or two of
healthy groceries by your mailbox on Saturday. It's the easiest way to get
food directly from your pantry to the Foodbank.

Remember: our favorite types of food are *canned meats, canned beans, canned
fruits & vegetables, boxed meals, and peanut butter.* Please try not to
include glass containers in your donation.

Thank you for all you do!
