[Peace] Oliver Stone's South of the Border at Art Theater this weekend!

Oliver Stone's documentary "South of the Border" is coming to the Art
Theater in Champaign this weekend!

This is exciting because:

- It's a rare opportunity in the U.S. to hear South American
Presidents such as Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales, Rafael Correa, Lula, and
Cristina Kirchner in their own words.

- SOTB has multiple C-U connections. UI alumnus Mark Weisbrot co-wrote
the script. Rafael Correa was a graduate student in Economics at UIUC,
where he was a dues-paying member of the GEO.

- This is the sort of movie that you often can't see on a big screen
in cities like Champaign-Urbana - it never gets out of the big cities.
But, several of us lobbied the Art Theater to show it, and they
agreed.

So, needless to say, those of us who lobbied for the film to come to
C-U would be especially pleased if there is a good turnout. There are
"reputation effects," as the economists say. We want the Art to bring
films like this in the future, so we want people to show up.
