[Peace] AWARE has been talking about doing a singing flash mob. We have decided that Labor Day is a good day to do one.

Yes!

To be clear, we are talking about gathering on International Workers' Day,
May Day, 1pm *this* Sunday. We're not waiting for the US' Labor Day
in the fall (though it could be fun to do it again too)...

Karen and I talked with Jan Kalmar this evening,
asking about labor songs, and she suggested a lovely one:

    Step By Step

Step by step the longest march
can be won, can be won
Many stones can form an arch,
  singly none, singly none
And by union what we will
  can be accomplished still
Drops of water turn a mill,
  singly none, singly none.

to the constitution of the United Mineworkers of America]
(& thanks to omniscient google for finding a song from fragments)
