Tahrir Tuesday on the Quad: Rally in Solidarity with Egypt
Tuesday, Feb. 8, noon
UIUC's main quad, south side of the Illini Union

Over the past two weeks, millions of Egyptians have inspired people all over the world with their courageous struggle to overthrow the hated U.S.-backed Mubarak regime. The heart of this popular revolution has been Cairo's Tahrir Square, where hundreds of thousands of protesters have congregated day after day to beat back pro-Mubarak thugs and to call for justice, dignity and democracy.The Anti-War, Anti-Racism Effort (AWARE), Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), International Socialist Organization (ISO) and an ad hoc coalition of Egyptian students and allies invite all UIUC students and community members to join us as we bring a slice of Tahrir Square to the UIUC's main quad. We will be rallying to express our solidarity with the Egyptian people and demand the end of U.S. aid to the Mubarak regime. Join us!
