[Peace] Mass incarceration reading group

Hey all,

Local writer/activist James Kilgore is starting a reading group on mass
incarceration and the prison system.
The first meeting will be Tuesday, Jan. 25, 5 p.m. at IPRH and will mostly
be devoted to finalizing the times, dates, and program.

This reading group will examine:

·         how the U.S. came to have the highest incarceration rate in the
world

·         The implications of mass incarceration for the individuals behind
bars, their communities and society as a whole

·         Possible alternatives and courses of action to reverse this trend
