"MLK Jr. Celebration - Your Beloved Community Begins Here"

More than 195 essays and art works of local students from 4th through
12th grade were submitted for this year's MLK Writing Contest. This
Saturday the contest winners will be announced at Krannert Center.
Join us!

Performances include Somi Kakoma, international jazz artist, the
Urbana High School String Alongs, the Franklin Middle School Step
Team, the Garden Hills and King Schools will perform to "We Are the
World". Many activities will be ongoing throughout the day, including
art projects, essay and flag displays. Refreshments will be provided.
