FREEDOM RIDERS: 1961 AND THE STRUGGLE FOR RACIAL JUSTICE

Raymond Arsenault, author of the book on which the new PBS documentary
Freedom Riders is based, and Chicago’s Thomas M. Armstrong III, one of
the original Freedom Riders, join host David Inge for a conversation
about the courageous band of civil rights activists who in 1961
challenged segregation in the American South.

The documentary, Freedom Riders, airs on WILL-TV’s American Experience
at 8 pm Monday, May 16.
