On Monday, Nov. 14th at 6:00pm, please come to Channing-Murray
Foundation (1209 W. Oregon, Urbana) for a showing of "The Take",
documentary by Avi Lewis and Naomi Klein, with discussion to follow.

In the early 2000s, after years of austerity imposed by the IMF,
Argentina's economy collapsed, and there was mass unemployment. Many
productive factories, built with public support, were being closed and
scrapped by their owners.

Workers resisted, forming a daring new movement: many took over and
successfully ran those factories, developing their own working democracy
- and creating jobs in the ruins of the failed system.

Today's OCCUPY movement should have much to learn from the Argentinian
workers of a decade ago. Please join us for this film!

Presented by AWARE (anti-war.net <http://anti-war.net/>) and Occupy C-U
(OccupyCU.org <http://OccupyCU.org/>).

More about the film at thetake.org <http://thetake.org/>.

(Happening at the same time: the CIA is coming to campus, and three
representatives will speak on Monday evening about the great (ahem) work
they do, in preparation for a series of recruitment interviews on
Tuesday; the ISO at least is organizing a counterprotest, 6:30-8pm
Monday 11/114, room 217 Noyes Lab:
