Munitions Civilian Protection Act.
October 23-October 28
Daily Terror is a free event
On view at the University YMCA // 1001 South Wright, Champaign, IL

Visitors to the exhibit will have the opportunity to join the postcard
campaign in support of the Cluster Munitions Civilian Protection Act.

in cited in Laous and many other parts of the world, the University
YMCA and First Mennonite Church of Urbana are sponsoring an exhibition
entitled Daily Terror. Produced by the Mennonite Central Committee of
the Mennonite Church USA and Canada, this display presents stories and
graphic images of devastation and pain that cluster bombs incite upon
civilian populations decades after their deployment in a confli ct.
The project also presents the advocacy work and on-the-ground
ordinance clearing efforts that Mennonite Central Committee and other
non-governmental agencies have engaged in for many years.

climate change.

There will be a discussion following the screening. Light
refreshments will be served.

SOCIAL JUSTICE FORUM
Screening/Discussion of Boy I Am

Channing Murray Foundation
1209 W. Oregon, U.
Wednesday, November 2, 7 p.m.

Free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served.

While female-to-male transgender visibility has recently exploded in
this country, conversations about trans issues in the lesbian
community often run into resistance from the many queer women who view
transitioning as a "trend" or as an anti-feminist act that taps into
male privilege. Boy I Am is a feature-length documentary that begins
to break down that barrier and promote dialogue about trans issues
through a look at the experiences of three young transitioning FTMs in
New York City as they go through major junctures in their transitions,
as well as through the voices of lesbians, activists and theorists who
raise and address the questions that many people have but few openly
discuss. Co-sponsored by Channing Murray Foundation, Women's
Resources Center, the LGBT Resources Center, and the Social Action
Committee of the UU Church.
