Come support 18 year old Calvin Miller, son of Martel Miller,
who was beaten by Champaign Police Sunday night

He will be testifying before the Champaign Council.
*Tuesday, October 25th at 7 pm*

We will stand and have badges of support to wear.

Champaign police pulled Calvin over and then rammed his van with squad cars
after which he fled in fright. When ordered to stop and get on the ground,
he complied.  He was then beaten with a baton, handcuffed, pepper sprayed up
his nose, and taken to the hospital. Officer Lieb, who beat Calvin, is
reported to have beaten a number of African-Americans in recent months. As
of Monday night, Calvin was on crutches with a swollen eye.

Champaign's Chief and Deputy Chief of Police are leaving the force. City
Council is re-considering creating a Civilian Review Board of Police.  This
is an essential time for the public to speak up.
