Dear immigrant/ advocate :

Many of us have met for the last few months and have helped each other
with activities with and for immigrate in the UC area.

Our meeting tomorrow, Tuesday will be to update each other on more
such activities but especially to plan a community discussion on
Secure Communities, the misnamed federal program signed onto by the
sheriff's office of our county.

The community discussion will happen in November (pending the group's
approval) and besides discussing the national policy changes, we hope
to create a space where we can discuss the repercussions in our
communities, talk with the victims, and look for what we can do about
the policy.

The next meeting of the UC Immigration Forum, will be the second
Tuesday of October, pending confirmation at tomorrow's meeting.
