Rafah in southern Gaza including three children, a woman, and an elderly
man.

Samer Barq, one of the three Palestinians on hunger strike, has been moved

International
Palestinian Authority Leader Mahmoud Abbas attempted to upgrade Palestine's
current status in the world body from its current "observer entity"
to "non-member observer status" which would "eliminate Israeli
justifications for building settlements in the disputed areas of East
Jerusalem and the West Bank". Abbas criticized Israel for not seeking out
serious peace talks and stated that the doors on a two state solution were
quickly closing, an idea expressed by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon as
well. Netanyhu briefly criticized the idea before suggesting that the world
body use military action to stop Iran's nuclear program. *(6)*

Palestinians are angered over Mitt Romney's statement
that Palestinians have "no interest whatsoever in establishing peace".
Romney also stated that he would "kick the issue down the road" and not
focus on finding a solution now. *(7)*
