Dear

Please consider walking with the Anti-War, Anti-Racism Effort and
friends in the 4th of July parade this year. We have a banner and
signs made.

The News-Gazette theme of the parade is "United We Stand, Proudly We
Serve", so of course we bent this theme to our liking.

We are honoring librarians, teachers, and others who serve the communities.

Our banner reads: "The War Always Comes Home / Demand Peace, Demand Freedom"
One sign says: "Ways the war comes home: * Drones, * Dragnet Surveillance," ...

Please consider joining us, or the "No new Jail" group or the some
other group IN the parade. Be part of the movement rather than just
watching it from the sidelines.

* For the line-up before the parade, all groups have been asked to be
there at 9:30am on the 4th of July.
* The parade starts at 11:05am.
* All groups line-up in the Assembly Hall's E14 lot, in the south part
of that lot.
* AWARE is #48 in the line-up which is closer to the front than we
have been in the past. There is not a map for where the groups will
be. But we are after the Champaign Fire Department and before the
Champaign Centennial Marching Band.

The parade starts at 11:05 am. It starts near First & Florida.
Continues East on Florida to Lincoln Ave. then proceeds North on
Lincoln Ave to California. Map of the route:

End of the route: Parade units turn onto Illinois street to disperse
and exit area at Goodwin Ave.

Please consider joining us. If you can't join us, cheer us on. If you
can't be there to cheer us on, send us supportive thought.

Peace and all good!
