> Patch Adams MD & Gesundheit Institute seek a Programs & Operations Apprentice who will be responsible for answering email inquiries, assisting volunteers and participants in our registration process, management of program finances, coordination of events/programs, and some travel coordination.

> Requirements: BA degree preferred, but we give consideration to applicants who have chosen alternative paths. Must live in Urbana or Champaign, Illinois. 
> 
> This apprenticeship begins May 1 with 3 months of uncompensated training, followed by compensation commensurate with experience beginning in August. While the first three months are financially uncompensated, the apprentice will be learning practical and conceptual skills and ideas that will enable her/him to do both practical and theoretical work around health care activism, experimentation, design and care. The apprentice will work with experienced teachers/practitioners in the Gesundheit Institute, as well as teachers in the School for Designing a Society (a sister project of the Gesundheit Institute). This position will be temporary to permanent for a fitting candidate. It will begin as part-time. Some travel will be required.
