[Peace] stay home / blizzard Re: AWARE meeting - 5pm at Esquire for one more week

The AWARE meeting is cancelled for this evening, because:
- The blizzard is indeed a blizzard.
- Most businesses are closing early*, so my bet is the Esquire will too.**
- Driving through town is risking your life. Snow plows cannot keep up.
- Other drivers are driving impaired***.
- The temperature is dropping, the wind is picking up.
- While facing south is not too bad, facing north into the wind is
like being blinded by wind, snow, and water balloons hitting your
face.

Stay home and we will live to fight injustice next week.

Notes:
* (2pm for where I work and we normally stay open until 10pm).
** Call the Esquire at 217-398-5858 if you want to see for yourself.
*** I just followed a car down Florida Ave. that had not cleaned off
its windshield enough to see out. When it stopped at a stop light it
stopped in the middle of the intersection for 3 out of 4 stop lights
-- not because it was sliding (it wasn't sliding at all), but because
the driver couldn't see the light through his/her windshield.
**** I just got stuck getting into my driveway.
