A debate between the two candidates seeking to replace retiring state
Rep. Naomi Jakobsson in the Illinois House will be held Wednesday
night.
// Debate sponsored by League of Women Voters, NAACP, Illinois Public
Media, and the News-Gazette

// The forum featuring Democrat Carol Ammons and Republican Kristin
Williamson, both of Urbana, will be at 8 p.m. at the Champaign City
Council chambers at the Champaign City Building, 102 N. Neil St.

// Members of the public are encouraged to attend and submit questions
of the candidates in the 103rd House District race.

// That debate will be preceded at 7 p.m. by a forum with the
candidates for a seat on the Champaign County Board representing
District 6 in Champaign: Republican Dan Jackson and Democratic
incumbent Pattsi Petrie.

// Theresa Michelson will moderate the county board debate, and
Shandra Summerville be moderator of the debate between Williamson and
Ammons.

// Another debate featuring the candidates for Congress in the 13th
District, Democrat Ann Callis and incumbent Republican Rodney Davis,
will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at WILL-TV, Channel 12. The debate is
sponsored by WILL, The News-Gazette, WCIA, the League of Women Voters
of Champaign County and the NAACP Champaign County. It will be
moderated by Jennifer Roscoe of WCIA.
