[Peace] Palestine, Iraq, and U.S. Policy -- Edward Said film then Robert Warrior

Is SJP's their regular members' meeting, or is it a special event? I
haven't seen any announcement for it. Last Thursday, the Arab Students
group had an event on Palestine, Iraq, and Syria at the same time that
Professor Bruce Robbins of Columbia University and three U of I faculty
were scheduled to speak on the subjects of Professor Salaita's firing and
academic freedom at IMC.

Certainly the two events were important to the same potential audiences-or
at least should have been. It's really a pity that students groups are
unable to work around events that had been scheduled several weeks earlier.
I know two of the speakers at the last week's students' event were unhappy
that they were going to miss the IMC event.

May we all be granted Hermione's magical powers to be able to be at two
places at once.

Best to all,
