     The Salaita firing has made the national news, so those out of town can know there's activity here in CU. Those who are local have the opportunity of attending. 

     Allen Hall is a wonderful 
undergrad dorm that has interesting and enlightening programs on all kinds of topics, always 
free and open to the public as well.

Wilson is a 1991 graduate of UIUC, a former Unit One student, and the author of seven books, including The Myth of Political Correctness: The Conservative Attack on Higher Education and Patriotic Correctness: Academic Freedom and Its Enemies. He is co-editor of the American Association of University Professors’ AcademeBlog.org, a member of the Illinois AAUP’s Committee A on Academic Freedom, and the editor of Illinois Academe.
