I'm getting taken to the woodshed for not having posted this information
here. So here it is.

The Illinois House and Senate are considering bills that would punish
companies that "boycott Israel" by barring them from receiving state
contracts. The bills define "boycott Israel" to include "boycott Israeli
settlements in the West Bank." That is, the bills de facto endorse the
Israeli annexation of the West Bank. According to the bills, "Israeli
settlements in the West Bank" equal "Israel."

The legislation is opposed by the Illinois ACLU on constitutional and free
speech grounds.

The legislation is likely to be voted on by Friday because that is the end
of the current legislative session.
