[Peace] Piketty reading group - Wednesday 29 July, 6pm

Tonight’s meeting of the AWARE group reading “Capital in the Twenty-First Century” will begin the consideration of the pay-off (so to speak), the fourth and final part, “Regulating Capital in the Twenty-First Century,” beginning with chapter 13, "A Social State for the Twenty-First Century.” 

The chapter begins with the all-too-pertinent matter, "The Crisis of 2008 and the Return of the State.” Examine why both major political parties are neoliberal (as well as neoconservative) - and why we need a third party (or, to be fair, a second).
