*APRIL FORUM:ICE in C-U and Midwest Detention*

*Tuesday, April 12 at 5:00pm-6:30pm*
University YMCA | K Rooms (downstairs)
1001 S. Wright Street, Champaign, IL

Follow the event on Facebook.

ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.

Due to recent anti-immigrant hate speech and repeated assaults to members
of the UIUC community it’s pertinent to learn and understand what’s
happening in Champaign-Urbana related to deportations and detention.
Messages like “Build the Wall” and “Trump Deportation Force” fails to
address the separation of families, disruption of our communities, and the
valuable contributions of immigrants in the United States.

Members of C-U Immigration Forum and students from the UIUC Anthropology
Department will present on current ICE activity in Champaign County and the
effects of detention centers in the Midwest. Join us as we start a
conversation about:

-Past and present ICE raids in Champaign County
-Priority Enforcement Program (PEP)
-Obama the Deporter-in-Chief
-Community stories
-Mapping of Midwest detention centers

We hope to see you there!
