Dear progressive community,

I wanted to share with you my article in Truthout

on the recent ICE raids that have been taking place among the immigrant
community in Champaign-Urbana. With the help of the Immigration Forum
<http://immigration-forum.blogspot.com/>, I've been able to document 20 ICE
raids locally since Summer 2015. I interviewed one of those picked up by
immigration for this article. He was detained for a month in the Tri-county
jail in far southern Illinois. These raids are part of a larger trend in
the Midwest and across the country.
