Kathy Kelly, peace activist from Voices for Creative Non-violence, will
soon be right here in Champaign Urbana Illinois (again). She has been with
Afghan Youth for Peace. She has been arrested for protesting the drone
wars. She takes humanitarian aid to Gaza. She was in Iraq when the U.S.
troops invaded (taking medical supplies during the sanctions). She calls us
each to cross the line; to question sanctions; to give bread, figs, and
water as gifts of peace and hospitality even to those with guns; to work
for peace by BEING there helplessly; to identify with the prisoner, the
poor, the hungry, and the victims of war; to recognize and call out the
