[Peace] Illinois: Urge Rep. Gutierrez to help protect Palestinian kids

So, we have an unusual ask here. We're asking everyone in Illinois to call
Gutierrez.

Why? Because he's on the Democratic platform committee, where a battle
royale is brewing over the demands of Team Sanders to include "Palestinian
rights" in the platform.

Dear Robert,

Luis Gutierrez represents Illinois' fourth Congressional district, in the
Chicago area. Usually, we wouldn't ask everyone in Illinois to call Rep.
Gutierrez' office on some issue. We'd just ask the folks in IL-4. But Rep.
Gutierrez' is now one of four Members of Congress on the Democratic Party's
platform committee. That's why we're so eager to get him to sign Minnesota
Democrat Betty McCollum's letter on protecting Palestinian kids in military
detention. One more signer is one more signer; that's great! But getting a
member of the Democratic platform committee on the record saying that the
US should do more to protect Palestinian kids in military detention?

*Call Rep. Luis Gutierrez now at 202-225-8203 <202-225-8203>.* Ask to speak
to a staffer who handles foreign policy. When you speak to a staffer or
leave a message, you can say something like,

"As an Illinois Democrat, *I urge Rep. Gutierrez to sign the McCollum
letter* and *advocate for the Democratic Party to support protecting the
rights of Palestinian kids*."

*[Of course, if Rep. Gutierrez is your own Representative, you should
definitely mention that too.]*
