Professor Maud Mandel right after spring break as this year’s Einhorn
lecturer. Professor Mandel is a professor of history and Judaic Studies and
Dean of the College at Brown University. Her most recent book is *Muslims
and Jews in France *and she will present a public lecture at 5pm on March
27th in Lucy Ellis Lounge (FLB, 707 S Matthews) entitled: Is Fraternity
Possible: Muslim-Jewish Relations in Contemporary France-History and
Reflections.” Please encourage colleagues and students to come to this
lecture.

Professor Mandel will also give a paper at the next Jewish Studies workshop
at noon on March 27th over bagels! The title of her paper is “Street Riots
and Jewish Politics: Anti-Jewish Violence in Tunisia before
