Because several of us are attending a release party for Jim Barrett's new
book!   "History from the bottom up and the inside out / Ethnicity, Race
and Identity in Working-Class History".

Come celebrate the publication of Jim Barrett's new book -- History from
the Bottom Up & the Inside Out: Ethnicity, Race, and Identity in
Working-Class History.

This landmark collection of essays rethinks the boundaries of American
working-class history by investigating the ways in which working-class
peoples’ personal lives intersected with their activism and religious,
racial, ethnic, and class identities. The book was published by Duke
University Press, and includes a Foreword by David Roediger.

The book party will be in the bar area in the back of Pizza M. Come
celebrate with Jim, and pick up your copy of the book just in time for
Labor Day.
