Dear Oddmusicians, especially Champaign-Urbana residents,

Check out this cool instrument that an engineering student made, which is
now for sale:

I contacted the person who posted the ad, and while he's not willing to
simply donate, he asked me to make an offer.

I wonder if a group of people is interested in contributing to a joint
purchase of this instrument, which would then become part of our public
instrument library! I'm thinking that even $100 would be a respectable
offer.

Please respond to this email if you are interested in contributing. Also
consider forwarding to other potentially interested people—our listserv is
currently small.

PS—FYI: Since vacating our space at the IMC, the Oddmusic Instrument
Library continues to be housed in a private residence. We are not holding
any open hours currently, as the library is in a state of disarray with
many instruments in disrepair. But! contact me if you would like to see the
library or check out an instrument.
