[Vip-daycare] Latest info on Daycare

Hi Volunteers,

I had a great time meeting those of you who were able to 
attend the orientation nights last week. I was so pleased to 
see that so many of you had come and signed up to volunteer. 
There have been some confusions about the daycare process in 
the last couple of days and I just wanted to clear some 
things up.

1st, I will contact all of you when I have the daycare 
schedules complete, have sent them to the agencies and the 
agencies are ready for you to go volunteer. This will 
hopefully be in the next week. Once I have contacted you and 
you have your TB test results as well as any other 
requirements for your agency you will be ready to attend your 
volunteering hours as scheduled. 

If you are interested in volunteering for Head Start or 
Crisis Nursery (not the special projects but the regular 
volunteering) then you need to contact those agencies and 
set up a schedual with them.

If you are still interested in volunteering and have not yet 
signed up for hours please contact me ASAP so that I can get 
you into the schedual. 

Also,if you did not attend an orientation night you need to 
stop by the VIP RSO office on the second floor of the union 
in order to pick up a daycare informational packet. In the 
packet, you need to fill out and sign the second to last page 
of paper. Then you can contact me and tell me what hours 
you would like to volunteer.

Also, If you are looking for a great leadership opportunity 
and are interested in being a daycare coordinator please fill 
out a coordinator application and send it to me via email 
by this Friday February 4th. I attached it in a previous 
email, if you need it, you can contact me at

Lastly, the Recreational VIP Director just informed me of a 
great volunteering opportunity for all of you. The YMCA is 
looking for mentor/helpers to work with an after school 
program. They need volunteers on a weekly basis from about 
2:30-5:30. You would work with 5th to 8th graders and help 
out with field trips as well as recreational events. If you 
are interested in this volunteering experience please email
