[Vip-i-vote] Orientation Nights; Recruitment Nights

Dear I-Voters and prospective members,

I'm Dustin Schrader, the new sheriff in town, and I wanted to let you know
that at 7 pm on Tuesday in 314A Illini Union VIP, and thus I-Vote, will be
holding its first recruitment night for the upcoming semester and for the
year.  At 7 pm the following night, we'll be holding another recruitment
night in the 2nd floor ballroom of the Union.  There'll be a sign-up sheet
there, if you wish to sign up, and I'll probably be passing out flyers
offering a general idea of some objectives for this year.  More importantly,
orientation nights, in which you'll meet with me to hear what we'll be doing
this year (I'll be giving you the spiel), will be held on Thursday, February
1, at 8 PM in 108 English building and the following week on Monday,
February 5, at 7 PM in 108 English Building.

Please attend one of these sessions, either recruitment night or orientation
night, to get involved.  You could also send me an email expressing
interest, I suppose.  This year provides an opportunity to do more fun
activities than in the past, I believe, since I-Vote will become a political
knowledge rather than political participation organization.  That is, we'll
be doing events and projects to spread political knowledge, as opposed to
registration and the like.  More importantly, there'll be many, many more
slots open for coordinator positions.  I'd like to have at least 5 new
coordinators, but I think that perhaps we could use even more for these
juicy events.

I encourage you to get involved.  We have an opportunity to run a great
organization this year, but we need your help to make it happen.  I hope to
see you all on one of these nights or to hear from you via email.  Thank you
