1. Lincoln's Challenge an academy for at-risk youth between the ages of 16
and 18 provide the development of the whole person.  They need
administrative help, a few hours a week, it is very flexible. Look at this

2.  Insight Illinois:  What are your personal values and passions?  What
motivates you?  What are your key strengths and weaknesses?  And how do you
find out? Insight Illinois is one of four multi-faceted leadership programs
found only at the University of Illinois.  The program is free of charge due
to generous donors and transportation is provided! Sign up for January 6-7,
2003 Oak Brook Hills Resort in Oak Brook, IL OR February 21-22, 2003 Eagle
Creek Resort in Findlay, IL.  Students can register for Insight online at:

3. What do you do with your pop tabs?  "Throw them away" (badness) /
"Recycle them" (better...and yet...) What can you do with your pop tabs?
"Twist them off and save them."  Why save them?  "Pop tabs can be recycled
for a great cause!"  Join the Office of Volunteer Program with the
collection of pop tabs for Persons Assuming Control of their Environment
(PACE, INC).  More pop tabs = more money for PACE. If you are interested
in collecting pop tabs you can bring the tabs to the Office of Volunteer
Programs in room 277 Illini Union (RSO complex) or for more information

4. As the year is coming to end and your pondering of possible New Years
resolutions well we have an idea for you, start the new year with
VOLUNTEERING!  On Saturday, Jan 11th there will be a Wheelchair Basketball
tournament at Huff Hall with various jobs for you all to do.  Call Maureen
Gilbert for more info at 333-4607 or by e-mail at mausser at uiuc.edu.

5. Thomasboro School needs "Elves" to assist students K-8 with meeting the
holiday needs of others.  A shop will be set up in the school and elves will
help students find just the right gift! Elves will be needed on December 11th
8:30am-2:00pm).  Contact Lisa Comstock (643-3275).
