CGFC Board meeting 
Feb 14th 4:30 pm 2003

WANTED: a notetaker for meeting who would be
compensated with store hours.  Karina will contact two
people and Eric will contact one.

Outreach/Education topic tabled 

Communication topic added by Tanya

Beth introduces herself and her facilitation skills to
the board.  She is welcomed with open arms.

Cooridinator Liason Report by Eric
Eric outreached by email to the coordinators.  Clint
responed.  They will be meeting.  Eric also invited
the coordinators to talk about communication and
programing ideas with him.  He plans on attending the
next coordinator meeting.

IDF Liason report by Karina
Karina attended her first committee meeting.  All was
well.  The coop will be supporting the IDF program
Building Alternatives in Guatemala Feb 17th by serving
scones to those attending and Karina and Beth will be
making dinner for the speakers and those traveling
with them. 
Meredith Kruse, IDF director, offered a co-sponsorship
with the coop for the upcoming Human Rights film
series.  The sponsorship was approved by the board and
for now 5 hours of board member times is being offered
to the project.  Karina will contact Meredith to see
if there are other ways to support.  Eric will begin
to discuss with the coordinators how we go about
giving finacial support to projects.

GMC Liason 
Minutes from the last meeting will be sent by David,
Tanya's Housemate, soon.  Topic continues in agenda.

Bylaws

Thoughts
Committees should be run by members.Tim
Committees in article III duplicate coordinator
functions, but could spread responsibility to avoid an
overworked coordinator.
Loss of 1 is recommened. Tanya
Why have descriptions if there is not a living
example? Tim  Board is the only living committee.

Beth brings the vote and 1 a-d is voted out, being
redundant.  It is agreed to continue at the next
meeting.

Communication
Member map is shown by tim.  Shows connections between
humans and human interactions in the coop.
Brain storming.  Tanya reads Bob's email of proposals.
 Should presidents be a hub for communication?  Maybe
more of a supporter role?
