Heather, 
We are going to have an open house on the 25th- that might be a great time to do this- alternatively there will likely be a 'beyond business' meeting on the 22nd or 29th. This is a space where we do things that are somewhat under the auspices of steering, but aren't the bottom line business things. 
A similar idea I had was of making concept maps of the IMC to help us understand what it's 'made of'.

Hi Elizabeth!

My idea is to talk about the arrangement of things in the IMC - the
stage, the library, the art exhibition areas, etc. and think about way
to improve the flow and functioning of the building overall. A friend of
mine, Jonah Weisskopf, used the space a month ago and he also has some
ideas. At heart, I'm a space shifter and have a bunch of ideas for the
IMC interior - if this is a goal at some future time.

At the brainstorming gathering, we would lay out big sheets of newsprint
with the building walls already drawn onto them. Teams would sketch out
different ideas of how to use the space. Key IMC folks would be there -
or not - but mostly, it might reveal some wonderful ideas on how to make
the space more inviting, less cavernous, and more functional for events,
etc.
