[CUWiN-Dev] laptop node hslsd problem

I'm trying to make a laptop boot from a CD as a CUWiN station, but hslsd 
fails to start at boot time.  If I try to start it manually I get:

Starting hslsd.

I've tried this with two different PCMCIA cards, one with a PrismII 
chipset and another Orinoco Lucent card.  Any ideas?
