Hi all,

Just wanted to let folks know that I've spent the last 2.5+ hours online from
home using the Race St. wireless infrastructure -- I'm connected to the WAP
located at Nicole's, then to the node on her roof to Laura's down the street and
to Zach's before heading out to the Internet. The connection is pretty stable
-- my ssh connection gets dropped 2-3 times/hour -- but it looks like some of
those drops are due to our network, and some due to problems in the outside
internet (between 216.43.27.62 and 64.198.100.85). I've been able to download
and upload my mail -- downloaded Google talk in about 10 seconds (900KB), etc.
all without any noticeable problems. It would be good to figure out what's
causing the jitter that ends up dropping the SSH connections (whether it's a
range problem or a software one), but overall, this network is definitely usable
for the average Internet junkie.

Great work Tom!
