It could be that the 0.5.4 sources contain files that don't belong....
cvs -I ! update -dP will make a list.  Or maybe that is 'cvs update -dP
-I !' ?  Anyway, if the sources contain junk, the 'make obj' step that
build.sh runs will get confused.
