It is, especially since it's semi-open Atheros instead of a closed
Broadcom radio. However, important questions are:

Who will fund a port, any port? Will they fund a second port?
            And a third?

Is it cost-effective to adapt the device for our
            application---adding PoE, outdoor enclosure, etc.?

For how long will there be a good supply of WGT634U's (or
whatever)? I.e., what's the "ROI" of a port?

How long will the device last before breaking? (Both Netgear
APs I have bought bit it after about six months.)
