I went ahead and did it.  There is a template called
/etc/ifconfig.ap.template, installed from the sources at
cuw/trunk/src/boot-image/extras/etc/ifconfig.ap.template, that sets up
an 802.11a AP.  You will want to customize that for your preferred mode
(a/b/g) and SSID.  If you prefer a certain channel, you can do that, too.
I haven't tested a two-radio node, yet, so you're kind of a guinea pig.
