Education Liberating? conference (details below and
attached) This conference has an emphasis on designing
the schools we WANT.

Then you are encouraged to forward the info about this
conference all around. It is not restricted to UC
locals.

Finally, you are invited to help make it possible by
donating sleeping space for attendees, money for folks
who have less, time to help get co-sponsors and
publicize, or input to the planning process so that it
meets, rather than dictating, desires.

The second in a series of forums hosted by Liberation
Education in collaboration with community and
university projects.
 
A conference and convergence 
to explore the effects of…
-legal standards such as 
	No Child Left Behind
-standardized testing
-expectations and punishments of behavior, especially
ragarding race
...on teachers, students, parents, and communities
and find out:
-what alternatives are available              
-what we need to create
-what a desirable public school 
		would look like
-how to support each other's work

Resources and lesson plans will be provided.

CPDUs are available to Teachers
