[Imc-girls] Public Service Announcement Text & Meeting Report

All:

We had a good "working" meeting on Tuesday night.  We raised the website,
and it looks great.  All pages are now filled with real content - yay!! -
http://ragg.ucimc.org.

We also wrote the text of our public service announcement.  Shawn and
Danielle are going to get it recorded, Danielle is going to burn us some
CDs, and Molly is contact tons of radio stations to see how we can submit a
PSA that we're sure will be played.  Our PSA text is:

VOICE: Got your attention?  This message is for all the girlz & womyn out
there.   There’s a new group in town – it’s called R.A.G.G., the resource
and action group for girlz and womyn.  We’re launching ourselves in style on
Saturday, May 29th., at the Urbana Champaign Independent Media Center , 218
W. Main in downtown Urbana.  You’re invited to join us all day for workshops
like hair-braiding, political action, music, sports, and more... In the
evening, you can enjoy live music, refreshments, and an outstanding female

Michelle and Molly delivered fliers that look awesome.  We'll need to have a
flyer-ing party where we all meet up and then head out to paper the town.
If you want to participate, let me know what days/evenings of the week
you're available, and we'll try to set a date (or dates) that get everyone
in on the fun.  This is a great way for you to join the effort, if you've
been unable to come to Tuesday night meetings but still want to help.

I'll be sending on more volunteer opportunities soon, so keep your eyes
sharp, if you've been looking for them.
