[Imc-outreach] outreach meeting notes 12/8

IMC brochure - Darrin is designing the brochure.  We
should have it by the next meeting - folding is
postponed until then.  Sooz will ask Kimberlie and/or
Zach about lit drop info.  People can sign up to cover
specific areas.  

Sooz suggests having media workshops/trainings. We
could do video workshops, zine making workshops, radio
workshops, etc.  Meghan says a radio workshop would be
especially important.  

Spruce up the IMC party:  If we're going to be here
for a while, we should spruce the place up!  People
will be more positive in a less
depressing/messy/stagnant environment.  Meghan
suggests Saturday, January 8th.  We'll talk about it
at steering.

IMC anniversary party: 
*Announcement Mailing - Send out on the 12th. we could
send a postcard or a letter.  if we send a letter, the
postage will cost more, but we can include the new
brochure that Darrin is working on.  We decide on the
postcard.
*IMC Birthday Cake and other food items/drinks
*Decorations - photos, signs, etc.  
*Interactive fun - last year there was paper on the
wall w/questions that people could answer, which was
an awesome idea... there was also the IMC infomercial,
can Video do a new thing?  It wouldn't have to be the
same format.  Bring this up at steering.

Staffing: We still don't have a staffing coordinator. 
We should revisit this after the first of the year.
