[Imc-summaries] US crews involved in Colombian battle

Fri Feb 23 15:50:09 CST 2001

This article is incorrect about this being the first US crew involved in combat in Colombia. A US Army intelligence gathering aircraft was shot down in 1999 while supporting the Colombian Army. All on board were killed, including the first US woman pilot to be killed in action. Doubtless there have been other occurances we don't know about yet, but the war is heating up. The privatization of US foreign policy, a trend started by Ollie North and his cocaine-dealing priavte army during the contra war against Nicaragua, simply continues to this day. Congress is too gutless to do its duty and investigate this continuing lawlessness.
