 Dear Illinois State AmeriCorps Programs,

The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) is in the process
of developing its 2011-2015 Strategic Plan. You can view information about
the plan *here*<http://www.nationalservice.gov/pdf/ppt_strategic_plan_8610.pdf>and
information is also attached to this email.  As stated by CNCS CEO
Patrick Corvington, this strategic plan will not only provide a strategic
vision, but also prioritize future CNCS’s resources.

The CNCS has conducted a number of outreach sessions throughout the country,
and hosted webinars to encourage input and feedback on the plan. We
understand that the CNCS is planning to finalize the plan in the next
several weeks.

The Commission would like to give you an opportunity to review CNCS’s
materials and to weigh in on these potential changes.  Please send me an
email with any input you have after reviewing these materials by *CO**B on
Friday August 13**th*. I realize that this is a quick turnaround, however I
have been informed that the Corporation may be finalizing these plans soon.
