Present: Brian, Carly, Mariah, Emma, Robin, Carol, Tom, Joy, Bob, Jaime,
Liz, Wayne, Meme, Mike, Judith

PROGRAM START DATE: We are still in a holding pattern. Carol shared that
there has been no additional information forthcoming from the state allowing
us to move forward at this time. Currently working on posting and
announcing positions.

PROGRAM OVERLAP: Until we receive notice from the state, it is unknown how
long of an overlap in programs, but probably not 2 months. Groups must pay
overlap of member. August 16th is the goal so that AC service schedule does
not conflict with school schedule.

RECRUITMENT: Efforts continuing until July 23, then on July 24 and 25, meet
at IMC from 3 - 5 as a group to review resumes to narrow down pool for each
group. Can set interview dates week of July 26. GROUPS MUST KEEP ON FILE AND
SUBMIT TO PROGRAM DIRECTOR ALL APPLICANTS THAT APPLY. AmeriCorps requires
that we have documentation of our process. Carol is developing a form that
will be available next week to facilitate that process.

BUDGET: Adjusted cost to internal groups is $5500. Cost to external groups
is $7500. External groups are required to make full payment in advance.
Groups will be billed upon release from the state. There are 10 members
total, including 3 external. Regional Planning Commission=2; University
YMCA=1. Bob asked if external groups will be supervising their member and
how time consuming. Program Director will be required to meet with external
AC members at minimum once per week.

WORKING GROUP CONTRACTS: Carol has signatures from most working groups
(lacking shows and finance/building) and will get Mike's signature on the
working group contracts. Each group will have a copy of the contract to
refer to. All external groups have signed their agreements at this time. AFTER
60 DAYS, GROUPS CANNOT REPLACE MEMBER. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. Groups need to
determine within 60 days if member is going to work out.

SUPERVISORS AMERICORPS MEETINGS: Will continue monthly meetings plus
supervisors orientation in early August. Carol will notify everyone with
available dates. Carol is working on AmeriCorps calendar to distribute to
supervisors and members.

OTHER DISCUSSIONS--

STAFFING: All Americorps currently share staffing time for the IMC. Bob
shared groups concerns over drain on groups that employ them. Carol shared
the benefits to the IMC and outreach requirement of the Americorps program.
Other members from working groups can staff the time-slots in place of the
Americorps, but someone does need to staff. Carly stated that Americorps
need training on how to deal with people that come in and bother or talk to
members for an hour or more. Carly also shared a data graph of March of
busiest times. No accurate data available since then. AC members will keep
current statistics to determine busiest hours and days. Brian shared that
staffing is a big responsibility and commitment. There is a staffing
website: wiki.ucimc.org. Email Brian for wiki info. Ed suggested that
staffing hours be determined by steering. There will be security training by
UPD as well as in-depth staff training.

EXIT INTERVIEWS: Official Americorps exit interview is required and exists
for exit interview between member, site supervisor and program director.
