i agree that going ahead with momentum is good and of course we're all be building off the energy of this meeting and irc discussion.  having organized a fair amount of network irc meetings over the past 4 years, there are some tips that help make it more inclusive, more participatory and more productive.  sometimes just jumping into it with a small group of dedicated people is what is needed to get things going - as we have seen when people get face to face!  even the people who weren't there feel that energy and want to join in!
