not the same as the press release I'll be sending to the other media;

Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center 
Open House
 Friday, January 19th, 8 p.m.

There's a new independent media and resource organization in Central
Illinois, so let's CELEBRATE!
 
The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center would like to invite you to
their Open House on Friday, January 19th at 8 p.m. to recognize &
celebrate the grand opening of our new Media Center located at 218 West
Main St. in downtown Urbana.

The Urbana-Champaign IMC is a grassroots collective that provides a forum
for community members to voice issues, ideas, and opinions that are often
underrepresented in the dominant media.  Most of us are not trained
journalists.  We are a local, non-profit organization composed of
individuals who are interested in providing an alternative source of
information to the community than the mainstream press.

Please join us for an evening of fun and friendship as we celebrate
another milestone in the making of Independent Media!   Information about
the IMC will be available, along with demonstrations of the IMC website. 
IMC-produced videos will be shown as well.  We'll have music, dancing,
refreshments--and EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!

We hope to see you on Friday, January 19th at 8 p.m., 218 W. Main St.,
Urbana (a couple of doors down from The Office bar & grill).
