[Imc] July 4th March

Last year the "coalition for better communities" (registered at the address for the School for Designing a Society) put on a huge progressive coalition segment of the parade. This area included mainstream labor unions, the geo, the food co-op, the socialist forum, alliance for welfare with justice, and so many more i couldn't possibly list them all. We had two big floats--one a flatbed truck with a house under construction and lots of plants and the other the monopoly man with sweatshop child labor in his coat. A "let's have this and not THIS" message. There have been noises about making such a coalition again, and i was at the imc last week when someone made noises that a registration form was awaiting us at the school house. last year's march took loads of planning (much by peter, danielle, and tim gibbs)and we may not have the time to bank out connections into something that ambitious again. however, perhaps something can be scraped together.

I just want to make sure we don't have several folks registering with the parade people. Has anyone re-registered the coalition?
