I was talking to Paul K. about references last night. He expressed
interest in the links below and I thought others might find them
helpful.

The first is what I call a greyline chart:

It illustrates where the sun shines (and where the sun don't shine, but
hey let's not go there.) It is useful for visualizing the situation when
militray attacks are likely to take place, with darkness being Uncle
Sam's favorite of course.

I found the above link from this very useful general reference page:

It has lots of links to info about countries, places and things you
never even knew existed. It comes in helpful in finding all sorts of
info.
