MEDIA MATTERS - A New Public Radio Show Hosted by Robert W. McChesney

Starting THIS Sunday, April 7, 1-2 PM....on WILL AM 580

Sunday afternoons will never be the same again in the Midwest as "Media
Matters" hits the airwaves with critical discussions of current issues in
media and politics featuring interviews with notable analysts, critics,
journalists, and artists--hosted by media scholar and political activist,
Robert W. McChesney (Research Professor in the Institute of Communications
Research). "Media Matters" is all about media matters and why they
matter--turning a critical lens on recent events in the media system,
government, the culture industry, journalism and much more. April's guest
include:

*John Nichols - a nationally distributed journalist, the Washington
correspondent for "The Nation" and the author of the recent book on
Election 2000, "Jews for Buchanan."

*Greg Palast - an award-winning reporter for "The Observer" and the BBC,
and author of the recent book "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy", a
critical account of globalization and corporate abuses.

*Janine Jackson - Program Director for Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting
(FAIR), co-host of FAIR's syndicated radio show, "CounterSpin", and a
frequent contributor to FAIR's magazine, "Extra!"

*Norman Solomon - a nationally syndicated columnist, executive director of
the Institute for Public Accuracy, and author of the recent book "Habits of
a Highly Deceptive Media"
