Urbana, IL:

An intrepid crew of do-gooders have finished phase one of the ambitious
"middleroom gallery project." Commendations were awarded to John H. and
David G. for their poise and agility in handling luminosity issues; Mike
L. for tactical support; Zach, Jason, and Alex for painting prowess; Mike
"Tower of Power" Ullmann for his hauling fortitude. And Sascha, because
everyone else got an award so we needed to give him one too.

As previously reported, there will be another chance and greatdom next
Monday (September 16, 2002) at 5:30p.m. Please RSVP to help with this
phase two (painting & detail work) of the gallery project.

In other news, the New York Times editorial board today condemned the loss
of civil liberties and drew conections between Mr. George Bush's current
policies and the Sedition Act of 1798, the Espionage Act of 1918, the
internment of Japanese-Americans in World War II, and the McCarthyite
witch hunts of the cold war (NO JOKE!!!):

Unnamed sources report that these two momentous events may be connected.
