[IMC] UIUC D.R.E.A.M. Studio social program support

Good afternoon!

I am writing on behalf of the D.R.E.A.M. Studio (Developing Real Expression
Around Music). We are a newly launched student run social program and
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign registered student organization. Our
mission is to promote expression through original music creation while
building self-esteem in talented high school students. We pair U of I
mentors with high school students that share the same musical interest.
Through this shared interest mentorship model, the HS students will create
and record a single throughout the course of the semester and perform in a
final showcase. Through the mentorship and song creation process, the HS
Students will better their self-awareness, ambition, and realize their
passions.

A core component of our program is the student's original song creation and
recording. We are looking for community partners with access to recording
studios to allow the HS students this opportunity. We realize that the
Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center has been empowering musicians to
express themselves artistically for many years. We feel that the mission of
the D.R.E.A.M. Studio aligns very closely with the IMC, and we would love
to discuss potential partnership opportunities.

We would love to chat about our potential partnership in the near future.
